Rising Star - Suzie Ball

This month we recognize Suzie Ball as our Rising Star. Suzie grew up in Lee’s Summit and has worked in restaurants as a hostess, food runner and server since she was 16. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University). Suzie is the Sales and Event Manager for Morton’s, The Steakhouse, in St. Louis. She has worked for Morton’s and been a member of MPI for 4.5 years! Suzie was nominated by Jill Metherd, and they are co-chairs on the Sponsorship Committee. Jill said, “I would like to feature Suzie because she has been a rock star in helping identity and reach out to potential partners. She understands the value of membership and is always willing to step up when needed.”

When asked what she finds to be the biggest benefit of her MPI membership, Suzie said “There are several benefits in my opinion such as meeting new people in the event planning industry, as well as seeing “old friends” at the luncheon and special events. MPI offers a variety of topics and great speakers at the luncheons. There is always something new to learn!”

Outside of work, Suzie enjoys hiking, reading and trying new restaurants. She is also active in the youth group program of her Church by substitute teaching in their small groups and serving as co-chair for their event planning and hospitality committees.
