MPI After Five at The Last Hotel

MPI St. Louis kicked off the holidays on December 5th at The Last Hotel. 37 of our members donned their best ugly sweaters to compete for prizes. Congratulations to Kristine Gipperich for the best overall sweater and to Stephanie Bommell for the most creative! Guests enjoyed various beverages, including a signature cocktail, as well as an assortment of savory appetizers and cookies. To spread some holiday cheer, attendees created holiday cards which were sent to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. 

Steeped in history and architectural richness, The Last Hotel embodies the preservation, restoration and reinvention of the International Shoe Company. Originally opened in 1909, the iconic building boasts elaborate stone carvings, ornate metalwork and terrazzo floors all in the Neoclassical and Art Deco styles. The event took place in the beautiful ballroom pre-function space with high level views. The décor was very beautiful and cozy. The hotel had dim lighting with candles, and holiday music was played throughout which created a very festive ambiance.
