Contract Basics for Experts

For event professionals, contracting can be one of the most challenging and time-consuming parts of the job. Often, navigating the legal waters of event contracts can be overwhelming to even the most seasoned planner.

In this lively and interactive session, Lisa Sommer Devlin helped those in attendance understand some of the common myths and misunderstandings that people deal with and provided practical advice on ensuring that contracts will wok for their events while being legally appropriate. Many raised questions that were addressed by Lisa's expert knowledge from her 25 years of experience representing hotels and others in the event space.

A delicious fall-themed menu was a perfect complement to the elegant setting provided by our generous hosts at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. The hotel will be undergoing some exciting renovations in the coming months and staff was available for tours following the luncheon. MPI St. Louis thanks all involved in making this event a success!
