This month, we recognize Macy Russell as our Rising Star. Macy became involved in MPI in 2015 and has been active with the EduCon Committee for the past two years.
This past year, Macy was asked to co-chair the speakers for EduCon. Macy has always been an enthusiastic member and takes on any challenge or task. Macy has done a phenomenal job in helping coordinate and secure speakers for EduCon. She helped collect RFP's, schedule calls to gather more information and get EduCon a great lineup of speakers.
After graduating from Centre College in Kentucky, Macy worked in community relations in minor league baseball in North Carolina for five years. She then transitioned into event fundraising in the non-profit community at Easter Seals and then Autism Society before moving to St. Louis to continue event fundraising at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. Three years ago, she took on the role of Institutional Events Manager at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She plans commencement and white coat ceremonies and their student leadership banquet. She also acts as the College's meeting planner advisor for all on campus events such as symposiums, continuing education, special events, meetings, and conferences.
In Macy's free time you can find her with her husband, Blair, watching the Chicago Cubs play baseball or exploring the outdoors.
Macy - we thank you for your dedication, not only to EduCon, but to the MPI St. Louis Area Chapter.
