Member Spotlight - Kamber Schlechte

The November Member Spotlight is on Kamber Schlechte. Kamber has been a member of the St. Louis Area Chapter for four months and has recently accepted the volunteer role of planning the MPI After Five Networking Events.

Kamber is the Assistant Director of Sales at the Hotel Saint Louis, Autograph Collection where she handles all different types of events from corporate meetings to retreats and galas. She fell in love with the industry because no day is exactly the same and seeing the end result of everything coming together after months of planning.

Upon graduating from college, Kamber envisioned a profession in media such as becoming a news anchor. She wasn't sure where to start but knew she needed to find a job ASAP. She applied for many different types of positions and landed a job as Director of Sales for a brand new Holiday Inn Express. After that, she was hooked and never looked back!

When she is not working, Kamber enjoys reading, yoga, spending time with her husband, Luke, and their "dog child" Raylan.
