This presentation will not only be informative and interesting to the event planner and MPI members, but will incorporate a wide range of security and safety concerns invaluable to those who have any roles in events, conferences and meetings!

Learning Objectives

  1. Gain and reinforce security and safety Best Practices for indoor and outdoor events.
  2. Consider the advantages counted on by violent, threatening or disruptive assailants and learn how to reduce or eliminate those advantages.
  3. Develop a fundamental plan for responding to a threatening situation in a wide range of settings.

This program has been submitted to the Events Industry Council for CMP Preferred Provider review and approval.

Tina Rowe served in law enforcement for 33 years—25 years with the Denver Police Department, where she retired as a Patrol Captain and 8 years as the Presidential-appointed United States Marshal for Colorado. She consults and trains about topics related to organizational and professional development and security and safety in workplaces and places of worship in a relatable and friendly style!
