With more than 15 years of experience in meeting planning and special events management, Melanie has planned and executed meetings with seasoned expertise, efficiency, and focused creativity.
Melanie has strategically planned and coordinated events ranging from multi-day annual conferences, tradeshows, corporate meetings, nonprofit fundraisers, and golf outings. She guides her clients step by step through the planning process, applying high-level organizational skills and time management to each project, devising creative solutions that work within their budgets.
She is currently the Corporate Concierge and Event Manager at CSL Behring, a biopharmaceutical company based in King of Prussia, where she manages CSL’s internal corporate events, internal conference center and CSL’s Corporate Social Responsibility program.
Melanie previously served on the board of MPI PHL as Director of Special Programs. In 2013, Melanie was nominated for the Planner of the Year award by the chapter and was awarded the Chris Pentz Memorial Scholarship toward continuing industry education. She has contributed to industry publications and served as a speaker to hospitality students about a variety of hospitality issues including: association meeting planning, and dressing for success on a budget.
In addition to the CMP designation, Melanie holds a bachelor’s degree from Chestnut Hill College, a certification in Executive Event Leadership from Temple University, a certificate in Project Management from Penn State Great Valley and has completed coursework towards a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration at Drexel University.
Melanie is also very active in giving back to the community, donating her time and services whenever possible to non-profit organizations such as PhilaBundance, Cradles to Crayons, Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House and her community’s SPCA by fostering animals, volunteering on their outreach team to find homeless animals homes.
Melanie will be attending WEC in Grapevine, TX in June.
