Q: What was your first job in the hospitality industry: Erin: I started doing water stops for road races as a kid. This contributed to organizational skills down road. Q: How did you end up in Philadelphia: Erin: Growing up in Syracuse I wanted to move closer to family. Philly was a great location without the winter. I worked at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for 10 years, then ended up at Xfinity Live. Q: What is unique about your venue and why is it ideal for groups or events: Erin: Diversity, there are five different venues under one roof, each with a different feel. Also, with built in AV so it is perfect for meetings and branding. Q: How do you partner with your clients: Erin: Flexibility is a big selling points, we can offer larger and smaller spaces. Flexibility to grow with the event. Some of the spaces have equipment, gaming, DJ all availability in-house. Be a one stop shop, puts them (clients) at ease. “Nothing makes me happier than when a client can eat and drink at their own event”. Q: What has been your favorite meeting/event? Erin: We did a “Chalk Talk” with PHLCVB during the draft, with Ron Jaworski. It was a beautiful set up. We set up a stage in NBC Sports Arena and used the large screen as a backdrop. The number 1 draft pick for the Eagles, Derek Barnett showed up as a surprise which was really fun. |
