Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, Home to America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark resorts, recently broke ground on its fifth resort in Spotsylvania County, VA. Known for offering a beyond-expectations all-under-one roof group experience, Kalahari makes planning your event simple; your guests never have to leave the resort!
The new 1.38 million-square-foot resort, opening in 2026, will feature 150,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including two ballrooms and 16 additional meeting rooms and multiple hospitality suites. Additionally, guests can enjoy 50,000 square feet of outdoor event space, including an event barn, covered terraces and lawn space. Kalahari proudly offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the resort, as well as a dedicated convention center loading dock.
The new resort will include 907 guest rooms, including one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, that can accommodate groups of any size. Admission to the indoor waterpark is included for all registered guests.
The new Kalahari Resort will also offer awe-inspiring amenities perfect for team building and even for bringing the family along. At over 175,000-square-feet, the indoor waterpark will be Virginia’s Largest Indoor Waterpark. The resort will also feature 10 acres of seasonal outdoor pools and Tom Foolerys Adventure Park, a 90,000- square-foot thrill park featuring rides, a ropes course, climbing walls and over 250 arcade games and other attractions.
For dining, the resort will have 12 on-site food and beverage outlets, including four signature dining experiences along with buffet and grab-and-go options. Kalahari’s signature restaurants will include, Double Cut® Steak House, Sortino’s Italian Kitchen, Cinco Niños Mexican Kitchen and B-Lux Grill & Bar, providing guests with a seemingly unlimited number of culinary options sure to please any palate.
Kalahari’s newest location in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, is conveniently located within minutes of Interstate 95, easily accessible for your guests, but far enough away for them to completely immerse themselves in a unique and unforgettable convention experience.
