How did you get your start in the industry?
My mom started IMS in 1994 in our family’s basement. Her “office” was right next to my siblings and my play area… so by osmosis since the time I was 7. I started officially working for the family business while in college at West Chester University in a business development support role.

What is your favorite thing about our industry?
My favorite thing about my job is that I get to work for my family – the people I love and respect most in the world. Industry related - I love that live event production is something different every day, its challenging and keeps me on my toes. My favorite events to work on are any programs where in addition to AV/tech support we are assisting with environment and scenic/stage design. I love when the technical and creative part of my job come together.

What is the best career advice you’ve received?
Two people working together pull 3x their weight.

What is the most memorable event you have planned or client experience you have had?
The day I was most proud of the team and company was when we staged the Philadelphia Eagles Championship Parade with 3 days of planning time for nearly 1 million people. The set up included 13 LED video walls, 16 generators, 1 mile of audio and video coverage, cameras and switching for the broadcast, and a massive crew to pull it all off!

If you were not in this industry, what would you be doing right now?
Real estate – my fiancé and I have a few investment properties in addition to our day jobs.

What is your favorite city to travel to and why?
Honestly, my favorite places aren’t cities, but my favorite area to travel to is the western part of the USA – ID, MT, WY, UT, CO area. I love hiking, mountain biking, outdoor activities, skiing, and adventure in general!

If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 items would you bring with you?
1. My fiancé, Ryan 2. My Frenchie, Louie. 3. Phone with some way to stay connected to the internet, and a never-ending battery 😉

Describe your perfect day off?
I’m about to have that actually! Ryan and I are doing a combined bachelor(ette) party, and rented out Eagle Point Weddings & Retreats for the weekend with all of our closest friends and siblings. 432 acres of FUN… so much room for activities! We’re going to spend a lot of time out on the water on our jet skis and even booked a sunset dinner cruise for the group, we’ll enjoy the walking and bike trails, and hopefully great weather!

What do you love about MPI NJ?
I love getting to reconnect with friends and clients that I’ve known throughout the years. I love that MPI NJ allows me the opportunity to build new relationships. I’ve met some great resources, partners and professionals that I otherwise would not have been exposed to.

What are you most excited about in joining MPI NJ?
Getting more involved and developing more in-depth relationships with other members.
