What is the best thing about the meeting and events industry?

The opportunity to create EXPERIENCES for people with the success of their events, programs, conferences, or conventions.

What do you hope to gain from your MPI membership?

The access to continued professional development and networking with some of the industry’s greatest people.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment to date?

I would have to say my time as Event Manager at Indiana Black Expo, Inc. The execution of both Summer Celebration & Circle City Classic for 4 years in a department ALL ALONE! It was me and my volunteer staff… talk about STAMINA, PERSEVERANCE, and CREATIVITY!

What do you enjoy most in your current role at work?

I enjoy making relationships with our customers and being the person that has the answers to their questions. I’m enjoying promoting my city! We all know it’s hard to promote something you don’t believe in, but that’s not the case here, I love and believe in Indy!

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t working?

I enjoy spending time with my family, watching HGTV, and eating BLUE BELL “Banana Pudding” ice cream.

I’ve planned meetings in London, Rome, Madrid, Prague, and Germany!
