Other than improving your Zoom Meeting skills, what have you learned (or learned to excel in professionally) since COVID-19 began?
Teams. I was laid off November 2020 and my employer did not have Teams. I was hired at my current company at the end of June 2021 and the whole Teams interaction and use was completely foreign to me and had to ramp up very quickly.
Who are you outside of work?
A runner, mom, wife, daughter (my mom lives with us), house manager, painter, puzzler and wanna be gardener.
Name a silver lining in your own work experience since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Starting a new job. I am a homebody at heart and enjoy being at home. Lots of family game time!
What is your proudest professional accomplishment to date?
Being in the events/trade show industry and always learning, meeting the challenges head on as an opportunity on how to do things better.
What are some of your favorite things about being an MPI member?
The education.
When do you plan to go on your next vacation and where do you want to go?
Our next family vacation is a week-long Disney cruise over Thanksgiving. It will be our second cruise; I had the best sleep of my life on the cruise. Looking for sleep and not having access to the outside world.
What is the greatest place you have ever visited?
Kruger National Park, South Africa.
