Other than improving your Zoom Meeting skills, what have you learned (or learned to excel in professionally) since COVID-19 began?
Beyond improving my Zoom skills, I’ve learned to be more adaptable and resilient in a changing professional landscape. I’ve become skilled at using digital tools to create engaging virtual experiences, manage projects efficiently, and communicate clearly in both remote and hybrid settings.
Who are you outside of work?
I am currently a full-time student at IU Indy, passionately pursuing a degree in Tourism, Conventions, and Event Management, with a minor in Sports Marketing. Alongside my academic journey, I proudly represent IU Indy as a Division I athlete, competing in Cross Country and Track. Balancing rigorous coursework with the dedication and discipline required of a collegiate athlete has shaped me into a dynamic and driven individual, ready to excel in the ever-evolving world of events and sports marketing.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment to date?
My proudest accomplishment to date has been earning the opportunity to serve as an Indiana State Fair Intern this past summer. It was a truly transformative experience where I had the chance to immerse myself in the behind-the-scenes magic of one of Indiana’s most iconic events, contributing to its success and learning from some of the best in the industry.
What are some of your favorite things about being an MPI member?
My favorite aspect of being an MPI member is the incredible array of networking opportunities it offers. This year, I had the pleasure of attending WEC, where I was immersed in an atmosphere buzzing with energy and innovation, and I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with inspiring industry professionals who are truly shaping the future of our field.
When do you plan to go on your next vacation and where do you want to go?
As of right now I don’t have any current vacation plans. In the future I would love to see Switzerland or Iceland.
What is the greatest place you have ever visited?
The greatest place I have ever visited was going to Europe for 7 days. I spent 2 days in London as well as 5 days in Paris.
Something people don’t know about you:
I earned my associate's degree while still in high school.
