Sweet Cases Virtual Service Project

Join Us in helping to make a foster child's day a little Sweeter!

MPI Greater New York Chapter is proud to partner with Together We Rise for a virtual service project — decorating Sweet Cases. When children enter foster care, they are usually given two trash bags to hold their belongings. The Sweet Case program provides duffle bags and basic necessities to help ease this problem, showing children in foster care that they are supported and loved.

For a small donation of just $25.00, Together We Rise will ship Sweet Case kits to participants who will decorate panels that will be attached to duffle bags for children in foster care. The CSR Committee will host an information session on Zoom, Tuesday, December 14th, at 6:30pm, for volunteers to network and decorate the panels together online. Participants will be responsible for returning their completed panels in the shipping material provided by Together We Rise.

Together We Rise is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization comprising motivated young adults and former foster youth. Their vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. They collaborate with individuals, companies and community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.
