The CMP Study Group is comprised of 8 educational sessions exclusively focused on the study and review of EIC’s International Standards (CMP-IS), as well as the opportunity to to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to become a Certified Meeting Professional. This program currently meets once a week for (8) weeks and covers the (9) different domains specified in CMP-IS defined by the CMP governing body, the Events Industry Council (EIC) (www.eventscouncil.org/).
Facilitated by local MPI DFW Chapter CMP industry experts, each session guides participants through the Domains of the EIC CMP Handbook. Participants will gain a better of understanding of the materials to help prepare for the CMP exam. Class structure is a mixture of interactive discussions, review quizzes and mock tests, group activities and relevant presentations. Other elements of the CMP Study Group that participants will benefit from include the CMP Buddy program, the CMP Panel discussion, weekly class briefings, guidance on the CMP application, general information about the exam process and a CMP exam study day.

Thursday, August 15 – CMP Class Kickoff Networking Social, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., Texican Court
Fall class schedule (8 weeks):
October 21 and 28 – Exam personal prep weeks
October 26 – Study Day – 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m., Texican Court
Exam schedule – November (throughout the month pending testing site schedule)
CEUs:
Participants can earn up to 16 continuing education hours (two (2) clock hours per session) toward the current CMP application requirement. Clock hours are distributed after each class.
