THE STUDY GROUP:  The CMP Study Group is comprised of educational sessions exclusively focused on the study and review of CIC’s International Standards (CMP-IS), as well as the purpose of earning Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to become a Certified Meeting Professional. This program currently meets once a week for (8) weeks and covers the (9) different domains specified in CMP-IS defined by the CMP governing body, the Events Industry Council (EIC) (www.eventscouncil.org).

Facilitated by local CMP industry experts, each session includes a copy of EIC’s CMP International Standards guide, the CIC CMP Handbook, the presentation (handout) from each session, guidance and review of the CMP application, and general information about the exam process.

Fall 2018 class details:
Class registration: July 9 – August 10, 2018
CMP Kickoff Networking Event, NYLO Irving/Las Colinas – Friday, August 10, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Fall class schedule – August 13 – October 8 (8 weeks)
Day/Time – Mondays, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Break/Bye-Week – Labor Day, September 3
Personal prep week – Monday, October 15
Study Day – Saturday, October 27
Exam schedule – November 2 – 11

CREDITS: The Workshop course counts for 16 continuing education hours (two (2) clock hours per session) toward the current CMP application requirement
