With a promise that this year’s party is one for the books, the MPI-CAC Holiday Party Committee is busy wrapping up last-minute details for the annual celebration.
This year’s party is scheduled for 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Hyatt Regency Chicago’s American Craft Restaurant – the site of last year’s successful holiday party. The committee, which is co-chaired by Micayla Diener and Caplin Lawrence, chose the theme of “Be Bubbly” for this year’s celebration.
“Let loose and ‘be bubbly’ with your fellow hospitality friends from around Chicago and beyond,” Diener said. “As our party falls close to all of the much-anticipated holidays and new year, we thought, ‘What a perfect theme for this type of party.’
“Bubbly not only incorporates the much-enjoyed drink, but the excitement, sparkle and tinsel everyone gets during the December month.”
Guests are encouraged to dress with the theme – tinsel, sparkle, glitter and sequins are encouraged.
Diener said this year’s party will have a good mix of new and familiar features.
“Expect to see the unexpected,” she said. “Back by popular demand, our famous giving trees and silent auctions with exceptional prizes among delicious chef-inspired creations, bubbly drinks and interactive entertainment.”
The reception also features food, drinks – yes, champagne – and dancing. Diener also said that the Silent Auction will be making a return as well.
“If you are going to attend a holiday event, this is the one surely not to miss,” she said. “A perfect time, right before the holidays, on a Monday evening to reconnect and celebrate the warmth and love of the holiday season.
“Kick back with a glass of bubbly and reminisce about 2019 in all its glory.”
