Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Meetings

This session will include: 

  • Antwone will speak about his experience as the International Chair of the MPI Diversity & Inclusion Task Force.
  • Address challenges that organizations experience when it comes to diversity and inclusion (Ex. Lack of commitment, funding, lack of support from leadership) & strategies to help overcome these challenges.
  • How do we define Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?
  • Why is this topic so important in the meeting industry and what’s the ROI?
  • How can we measure our D&I initiatives?

Antwone Stigall leads the Antwone Stigall & Co team with over 10+ years of industry experience. A champion for event industry diversity & inclusion and the educational advancement of his colleagues, he Known for his transparent and vibrant persona. Antwone is an innate leader with a keen eye for strategic planning, meetings execution and destination management.

Antwone brings event production experience so matchless that he can plan a program and a production in his sleep without a toss or a turn. His experience ranges from elaborate and broadcasted productions at mega churches of 20,000+ members, nonprofit creatively budgeted event experiences to custom event services at event agencies. Antwone eats, drinks, lives, and breathes events.

Antwone is a dedicated meeting professional who serves his industry unapologetically. He has served as a Two Term Vice President for the Tennessee Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, an International Chair for the Meeting Professionals International Diversity & Inclusion Task Force, chartered the first Student Chapter of MPI:TN, speaks at industry global events, and has been featured in several global event industry publications.

An industry leader and elaborately decorated professional, Antwone is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Digital Event Strategist (DES) and doesn’t plan to stop there. Antwone is also a proud member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), and American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). When he not planning strategic meetings and events, you can find Antwone spending time with his family, being an amazing Godfather, and somewhere in an open field horseback riding.
