Full-Throttle Leadership: The Power of You (Interactive Session)

Get a “kick-start” on November’s Education Meeting with an interactive and ‘BREAKTHROUGH” session with Steven G. Foster, CMP, an award-winning speaker, writer and business consultant. An advocate for giving back to the communities where we live, work and meet, Steven is Managing Partner of Foster+Fathom, a Leadership Training and TRIBE-Building Group in Dallas.

A 27-year member and self-admitted MPI “Kool-Aid drinker” who in 2004 was inducted into MPI’s Community of Honorees, Steven began working with the chapter’s Board of Directors earlier this year to implement a motorcycle club mentality with our members, experiences and leadership to build a powerful Full-Throttle Tribe. That’s not surprising, considering he also is a Harley-Davidson LIFE member who in 2013 completed a 32, day, 34-state, 13,000-mile solo motorcycle ride along the perimeter of the US to raise awareness and support for Veterans and Military Families, a journey he is chronicling in a new book project, “Full-Throttle Leadership: Passion, Power & Purpose.”

Join us for a “No Limits, Loud Pipes, Get Your Motor Runnin’, Wind in Your Face Blowin’, Free-Bird Playin’, Heavy Metal Thunder Screamin’, Born to be Wild, Full-Throttle Leadership” experience where YOU will discover the difference between horsepower and staying power.

Full-Throttle Goodness - Part I

Thomas Edison said it best; “If we did ALL the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves.” And not just that, we would change ourselves and change the world.

That includes the world of Meetings and Events, where the desire to support local communities and help those in need has become an integral part of the attendee experience. Some people believe finding ways to fully engage participants in making a meaningful difference can be a challenging or even hopelessly idealistic effort. Steven Foster is not one of those people.

Steven says it best; “purpose-filled work is not just another route to discovering personal satisfaction; it’s also the fuel that powers growth, relationships and influence, and that’s what meetings and events are supposed to do.”  What he calls “Full-Throttle Goodness” focuses on ways Giving Back can influence loyalty, increase brand awareness and create profound engagement in the communities where we live, work and meet. That’s not surprising, since he also is BOTH a successful entrepreneur and also a Harley-Davidson LIFE member, whose solo motorcycle ride around the perimeter of the United States to raise support and awareness for veterans became the catalyst in transforming his own company to becoming a leading advocate for giving back to the communities where we live, work and meet.

Part II

How much more bottom-line, positive business impact could you generate at a meeting or event that gives back, changes lives, builds community, and educates and elevates everyone who participates in creating a real sense of purpose and meaning? Participate in a facilitated team activity to fuel your meetings and events with Full-Throttle Goodness that don’t just “feel good,” but also makes “bottom line, good business sense."

Learning Outcomes:
• Identify the impact of giving back to your organization’s growth and business strategy
• Develop, plan, promote and execute a sustainable community outreach program
• Activate a “Full-Throttle Goodness” culture that engages attendees and stakeholders
