We'll talk about why our states are hotspots, what human trafficking looks like in our areas, and how we can work together to ensure that our events and venues are human trafficking-free.

Mitch HillMitch Savoie Hill, CPC

Mitch Savoie Hill is a Certified Professional Coach, international TEDx Speaker and corporate trainer with over 25 years of hospitality and leadership experience. She started in the hospitality industry as a singing waitress in New York City when she was 18 years old, and later went on to manage teams for international companies in the restaurant, hotel, property management and construction industries. 

Mitch is a first-generation American, born of Cuban exile parents, who survived a myriad of adventures and her fair share of discrimination and adversity. She now dedicates herself to coaching individuals and teams on how to overcome their roadblocks to success and has authored an inspiring and instructional book on the subject. 

As the CEO and founder of SavHill Consulting LLC, she delivers inclusive leadership coaching, corporate training and keynote speeches that help her audiences learn how to truly engage their diverse clients and teams to achieve optimum productivity and success. 

Working in high-stress, fast-paced environments in unique markets, such as Miami, New York, Atlanta and LA, Mitch Savoie Hill developed best practices for dealing with different personalities and inspiring cooperation among diverse teams. 

Mitch attended New York University’s renown Tisch School of the Arts, where she mastered the skill of public presentation. She now uses that skill to help leaders become more confident with public speaking and commanding a room. 

Mitch’s charismatic energy and contagious laugh captivates her audiences as she enlightens them on important topics such as conflict management, how to inspire cooperation, and embracing Diversity Equity & Inclusion. She serves on the DE&I Committees for the National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

Pam StricklandPam Strickland

Pam Strickland is the founder of North Carolina Stop Human Trafficking.

Upon learning that Human Trafficking is a problem here in NC, she felt called to be active locally in educating our community about this issue and working towards preventing Human Trafficking. The nonprofit was incorporated in 2010.

Pam has attended numerous conferences and received in-depth Human Trafficking Training from a variety of entities including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Freedom Network Training Institute, the Not for Sale Campaign, the FBI, the SBI, and GEMS.

NC Stop Human Trafficking is a member of the NC Coalition Against Human Trafficking, and Pam served as the Co-Chair, until she rotated off the Board in December 2018.

In 2016, Pam led the effort to start the Pitt County Coalition Against Human Trafficking, modeled after the state-wide group.

In 2020, Pam, along with 3 other nonprofit leaders, formed the NC Demand Reduction Task Force.

Pam trains professional groups in how to recognize human trafficking and respond to it. Groups trained in recent months include law enforcement, social workers, teachers, counselors, therapists, healthcare providers and Crisis Intervention Teams.
