As we continue to evolve our chapter and shift to meet our members current needs we are excited to announce MPI-CC Spark Sessions, a series of focus groups to spark meaningful conversations with each other on specific topics. This first of it’s kind virtual break out session will allow you to pick one focus group topic and connect with others to share ideas and collaborate to find solutions.

For only $10 you will have the opportunity to connect with others on varying topics, gaining valuable knowledge and perspective from your peers. If you are able, please consider donating above and beyond the $10 to help ensure our chapter is able to continue providing value to our membership for years to come.

Spark Sessions: June 24, 2020
In order to create meaningful conversation, each group is capped at 15 participants.

Small Business Owners

Moderator: Brandon Crumpton – President/Talent Buyer, Key Signature Entertainment

This group will discuss the financial, marketing, and service challenges created by COVID-19. We will share ideas and actual experiences in trying to maintain the culture of our businesses when things are so uncertain.

Virtual Meetings

Moderators: Ricardo Hicks – Owner, Tech Factory Productions
Amelia Hodges, CMM, CMP – Director of Professional Development, NC Assn. of CPAs

With our industry taking a temporary pivot in the direction of virtual meetings, hybrid events, live streaming and webinars, it is time to have good discussions around best practices. Which platforms are the best for our attendees? How do we keep our meeting private? What are the best platforms to make our meeting available to the public? In this session we will look to collaborate on ideas to push the meetings industry forward during this tough time. No one has mastered the type of virtual meetings and conferences that we are in right now, so let's share ideas to make the best of our stay at home, and limited attendee meetings.

Hotel Safety / Best Practices

Moderators: Jamie Frydlo – Director of Sales, Hotel Indigo RDU Airport @ RTP
Maureen Donovan – Director of Sales & Marketing, Holiday Inn Resort Wrightsville Beach

Now is the time to be proactive in welcoming your guests back! What steps are you taking to make both your internal and external guests feel as safe as they can be? We know many people will have questions about their stay and experience, what story has your hotel planned to tell? In regards to meetings, what responsibilities are with the Meeting Planner or is it all the hotel? How will you work with Meeting Planners to ensure safety of attendees and employees?

Contracts

Moderator: Ashelyn Roberts – Global Project Manager, ConferenceDirect

Join us for an open forum discussing contracting during Coronavirus. We will cover anything from Force Majeure clauses to cancelation negotiations and best practices for the future.

EIC_Preferred Provider Approved Logo This program has been submitted to the Events Industry Council for CMP Preferred Provider review for 1 hour of CE.

Tickets

We know that some of our members have been more affected than others by the economic shutdown and we are making every effort to accommodate your needs. Like many other organizations, MPI-CC has experienced loss of income in our most crucial fundraising months. We are working hard to keep our business thriving. In an effort to provide value to you while also sustaining our chapter, we are offering a 'pay what you can' model for our first Spark Session.

Thank you for your continued support of MPI-CC. We appreciate you!
