MPI-CC 2019-2020 Award Nominees

Hall of Fame

Barbara Dragan - The Westin Charlotte
Nominated for the Hall of Fame Award as well as the Supplier of the Year Award. Barb is a past president of the Carolinas Chapter and this past year co-chaired the Advocacy Committee. Barb worked hard to create a GMID event for our chapter, unfortunately the coronavirus got in our way and we were forced to cancel.

Lori Hedrick, MHA, CMP, CMM, CSEP - Burroughs Wellcome Fund
Nominated for the Hall of Fame Award, Lori is a longtime and very active member of the Carolinas Chapter. Lori is a past winner of the Planner of the Year award, she has served on the board of directors and on multiple committees, Lori is always ready to volunteer wherever the chapter has a need.

Myron Jones - Fayetteville Area CVB
Nominated for the Hall of Fame Award, Myron is a longtime member and a past winner of the Supplier of the Year Award. Myron serves on the Publications Committee and is a smiling face at all the chapter meetings where he makes a point to meet and greet all new and potential members and make them feel at home with our chapter.

Planner of the Year

Cathy Mauldin - CDM Smith
Nominated for the Planner of the Year Award, Cathy is a past winner of the Volunteer of the Year Award and a recent winner of the Volunteer of the Quarter. Cathy is the Chair of the Publications Committee which is no easy task, ensuring that all deadlines are met to publish our Chapter Newsletter, The Blitz.

Linda Ilsley, CMP - LPI Events
Nominated for the Planner of the Year Award, Linda is a longtime active member and Past President of the Carolinas Chapter. She is a past winner of the Supplier of the Year Award, Hall of Fame Award, Volunteer of the Year and the President’s Award (twice). This past year Linda Co-chaired the Advocacy Committee.

Karen Williams - Crowne Plaza Greenville, SC
Nominated for the Supplier of the Year Award, Karen is an active volunteer serving on the Education Committee as well as the Finance Committee.

Tomorrow's Leader

Rachel Whitten - Visit Greenville NC
Nominated for the Tomorrow’s Leader Award, Rachel is very active in the chapter, currently volunteering on the Business Exchange Committee as well as serving as a Chapter Ambassador. Rachel is a recent winner of the Volunteer of the Quarter Award.

Olivia Terrell - Renaissance Asheville Hotel
Nominated for the Tomorrow’s Leader Award, Olivia jumped right in volunteering after joining MPI-CC and won Volunteer of the Year last year. Olivia is currently the chair of the Leadership Volunteer Development Committee.
