His expertise extends beyond the tourism industry, with projects in both regulated and non-regulated sectors.
Blayne Candy, Co-founder and partner of Showcall Inc.
Blayne Candy, a seasoned professional, who will share his company's experience in successfully executing International events during the pandemic, including the Halifax International Security Forum. Blayne, co-founder and partner of Showcall Inc., retains extensive experience producing and managing corporate, sports marketing, television broadcast and technical production projects, regionally, nationally and internationally.
When not producing or managing world summits, grand openings or product reveals he can be found speaking at industry conferences on the applications of technology in the event industry. His list of national and international work includes designing and producing events for Pope Benedict, Presidents, Obama, Bush and Clinton as well as the country of the Republic of South Korea.

Carol is the Director of Human Resources at the Prince George Hotel / Cambridge Suites Hotel, where she is responsible for the development of HR standards and practices creating the culture of highly engaged and motivated teams. After 35 years in the Hospitality Industry, she has a fresh, progressive approach to developing health & wellness initiatives, employee programs, contributing enthusiastic community support and is a forceful industry advocate for higher education and training.
She has received the Crystal Award for Excellence in Human Resources Leadership from Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS) and the Employer Business Award for recruitment initiatives with immigrants from Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS). Carol is an active board member with Ability Employers, ISANS Employer Advisory Council and a member of Hospitality Human Resources Committee (HHRC), Vice Chair and Secretary, Safety Services Board of Directors.
Michelle Munro, Owner Loop In Events
Michelle Munro a young entrepreneur, new to our industry, who will share her approach to starting out fresh, during a global pandemic. Michelle is the owner of Loop In Events, a Halifax based multi service events company that collaborates with clients to grow their event to maximize its potential. She believes that fostering a sense of connection is key to an event's success-regardless of purpose or size.
Michelle is a two time graduate of NSCC, most recently from the Advanced Diploma in Event Management Program in 2020. She has over a decade of non-profit leadership experience. Michelle completed the Inclusive Event Strategy certification with MPI in 2021 and has a passion for designing inclusive event experiences.
