Amanda Armstrong was named one of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meeting Industry in 2017 by Successful Meetings Magazine. She is the assistant vice president of the meetings and travel department at Enterprise Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo and National Car Rental. Enterprise is the leading global car rental company operating in over 70 countries with over 90,000 employees. The department oversees the sourcing, planning and operation of all national and licensee meetings worldwide. Amanda is responsible for the strategic development and management of the company’s travel program where she manages supplier partnerships, travel policy and cost savings on a global basis. Staying active in the industry is a top priority; she is the 2018 Chair of the International Board of Directors for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and was the Vice Chair of Finance in 2016. She started her volunteer leadership path on the St. Louis Board of Directors and co-chaired MPI’s WEC in St Louis in 2011. Passionate about improving the industry, she is an advisory board member for Elite Meetings and enjoyed serving on the customer advisory board for Hyatt Hotels and the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2007.
