Program Overview
The pandemic will impact gatherings for the coming months and year—with onsite staff playing a frontline role in monitoring, enforcing and handling compliance with safety protocols and procedures. This course powered by the Event Leadership Institute provides all front- and back-of-house onsite event staff—including volunteers, vendors, suppliers and production crews—with the knowledge necessary to identify and suppress risks and handle, mitigate and de-escalate non-compliance.
From internal and external team member preparedness to site assessment and managing guest logistics, this course provides all onsite team members with tactical knowledge to monitor and maintain a safe environment for all. This training also includes a scheduled one-hour Ask Me Anything (AMA) with the course instructor and an online forum to ask pressing questions. A digital badge and certificate of completion will be awarded upon successfully passing the exam.
Want to go deeper in elevating your decision-making framework and event design strategy? Take the Pandemic Meeting & Event Design certificate course. This six-week course is eligible for 20 CMP hours.

Kevin White, CSEP
Kevin is the head of the Boston-based, award-winning experiential event agency XPL. He has been working with global organizations on their marketing and development efforts for nearly a quarter-century. As veterans of the experiential industry, Kevin and his team of producers have helped these organizations to develop strategies for their target audiences, assess communication plans to deliver their messaging, and then implement development events that engage, strengthen and energize groups. Clients have brought XPL’s production skill to bear on five continents. Those clients include institutions such as Harvard Business School, non-profits such as The Special Olympics, governmental units such as the US Department of State and corporations such as Bugatti. Each brings a diverse set of needs that they entrust Kevin and his team to fulfill.
In addition to serving as an instructor for several Event Leadership Institute professional development courses—including Pandemic Meeting & Event Design—Kevin is a certified COVID-19 Compliance Officer, has undergone training from the World Health Organization (WHO) on mass gatherings, and has also received the Event Safety Access certification from the Event Safety Alliance. When not working on client projects, Kevin has been a professor at NYU and head of content development for the Event Leadership Institute. He is currently working on his first book on innovation in experiential design and recently launched a series of entrepreneurial-based retreats around the world under the brand The Table.
