Session Title: From Messy to Marvelous: Shaping Cultures of Accountability
What are the first words that come to mind when you think about accountability? Many folks in the industry mention deadlines, pressure to perform, stress and conflict. Others talk about goal setting, monitoring, reporting and scorecards. Together, these answers represent the tools and outcomes associated with a traditional view of accountability. That view, often based on an incorrect understanding of the concept, can create fear and resentment in employees and contribute to a lack of productivity.

In this interactive session, Richard Coughlan takes the mystery out of the concept of accountability and provides specific suggestions for building a positive and productive culture of accountability. By utilizing a very different approach, he can help you identify which of several possible approaches works best in your organization and provide suggestions for creating conversations that lead to positive outcomes.

In this session, you will gain the following:
Learner Objectives:
1) Take the mystery out of accountability for meeting planners and suppliers by exploring key questions surrounding the concept.
2) Learn to utilize several possible approaches that would work best in your organization in building accountability with your staff, clients and personal connections.
3) Create conversation that lead to positive accountability outcomes.
