We’re the Event Industry’s membership organisation and trailblazing charitable
social enterprise, dedicated to cultivating better mental health and wellbeing in events.
We are here to not only support and serve our professional and business members
and Friends community – within creative communications, experiential marketing,
live and business events, exhibitions, travel and hospitality – but also provide the
wider industry with the knowledge and tools they need to stay event well.

WHY PARTNER WITH EVENTWELL?
• A career as an event co-ordinator was cited the fifth most stressful of 2016
• one in three event professionals will experience a period of mental ill health each
year
• 42% of event professionals have changed job due to stress, 75% have felt stressed
in the past 12 months
• Young people are more likely to experience stress than older generations
• UK Event Professionals only rate their general wellbeing at 6 out of 10. In the UK stress accounts for 45% of lost work days, and over 1.3 million people have suffered from workplace stress (HSE). As a result, it’s more important than ever
that event professionals take active steps towards their wellbeing. We are working collectively with the creative, experiential, event, travel and hospitality industry, to encourage better understanding of this and impacting collective #EMPATHY
We do this by working in partnership with event industry trade associations, national
and international trade events and exhibitions, universities and colleges, to deliver
outreach education and support that creates better understanding, challenges
discrimination, and encourages open conversations on wellbeing and mental health in the event industry.
The event industry contributes £77bn to the UK economy annually and employs
around 700,000 people, so it’s vitally important that the industry as a whole comes
together with a proactive approach towards workplace wellbeing that equips event
professionals with the knowledge and skills to stay healthy and happy and event
well.
#EventWell aims to support this as the event industry’s membership organisation
and charitable social enterprise dedicated to mental health education and support for
event professionals. We are here to work and support you with your membership
education and support so that this aligns with our vision, mission and values, advocating the wellbeing of all professionals working in events.
It is also our aim to have an EventWell Champion and Mental Health and Wellbeing
Ambassador in every event business by the year 2030, as part of our commitment to
Agenda 2030 and the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals. Also not forgetting that we are the founders and leaders of Event Wellbeing Week in September, and NEW for 2020 Event Wellbeing Day in February, the industry's annual mental health and wellbeing educational campaigns.
