How the events industry achieve its sustainability goals?

Across the globe, sustainability is at the top of the agenda. Events take a heavy toll on our resources and the environment. They can generate a huge amount of waste and with the number of events we run and attend increasing, the time to act is now.

In 2019, Cvent proudly sponsored the ‘Acceleration Commitment’ for the Events Industry. As both an organisation, and as individuals, Cvent is firmly committed to advancing the sustainability of the global business events industry.

At the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit that took place in September 2019, Positive Impact Events submitted the Acceleration Action/Commitment on behalf of the event industry to the United Nations. This was done as part of their call for commitments to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
