Break The Bias 11(1) - Susan Arslan

By: Hannah Lee | Mar 4, 2022

MPI 's Community Partner Eventwell is leading the way on 9 March - Event Wellbeing Day.

How can I get involved?
- Hold awareness sessions, events and activities within your organisations and businesses around the theme of tackling bias, by e.g. a simple coffee/tea and team meeting around mental wellbeing in the events industry and what Bias means to you personally?

- Use hashtags #EWD22 #EventWellbeing Day22 #EventWell22 to promote and share

- Organise a PositiviTEA event on the day to raise some vital funds and cash to support event professionals via the Pledge Benevolent programme. The programme specifically supports event professionals experiencing personal hardship with grocery shops, hardship relief grants, childcare support and talking therapies.

- Visit Eventwell to find out more - at Confex on the 8th and for #EWD22 on the 9th March, in their quiet room and event hub - supporting anyone attending this and other shows that are taking place next week (Confex, PA Show, Publishing Show, Event Production Show). They are also on the People & Culture Hub at Confex with Diversity Ally at Confex

- Learn about the new @eventwelluk TikTok campaign #DiscoNapping! (If you were at the MPI event in London last week, you'll have some insight into this!) and post your own videos of #DiscoNapping in the office, at events and during meetings to spread awareness and have a bit of fun (because we could all do with it right now!)
