Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) will bring together leaders from across the worldwide events industry to showcase the positive impact that events have on our local communities.
We’re kicking off the celebration early on Thursday, April 2nd with our own SoCal GMID Celebration in Santa Monica!
Join us as we celebrate the importance of our industry’s contribution to our local economy and community!
CELEBRATION, 10 AM - 11:30 AM
Celebrate our industry at Pacific Park on the world-famous Santa Monica Pier for a morning of networking, midway games with prizes, amusement rides, drinks and bites all mixed with sun, ocean breezes and spectacular views!
EDUCATIONAL LUNCHEON, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
After you’ve had some fun in the sun at Pacific Park, we will enjoy a stroll along the Santa Monica Boardwalk. Along the way is an Instagrammable moment as you pass the famous Muscle Beach to the beautiful Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel for our educational luncheon to learn about the ways our industry is impacting the global economy and our community.

Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID), held on Tuesday April 14, 2020, will bring together leaders from across the meetings and events industry, showcasing the impact that business meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, trade shows and exhibitions have on our industry.
