Applicants will write an essay explaining what the CMP designation means to them and how it would help them make a difference in the Industry. Essay will be submitted along with a minimum of 2 letters of recommendation. All applications must be received by May 1st and essays will be selected by the MPI Ohio Board of Directors. The winner will be announced at the Annual Recognition Program in June. Scholarship applications should be completed and submitted to the chapter administrator no later than May 1. You will be notified when your application is received along with an expected response date. If you are awarded the Christy Selby, CMP scholarship you will be notified via email and required to submit the appropriate documentation for reimbursement.
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Certification Package The Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program was established in 1985 and was designed to increase the professionalism of meeting and event professionals in all sectors of the industry.
The CMP credential distinguishes holders as career professionals who have demonstrated a high level of experience, skill and knowledge in the meetings and events industry. The CMP credential is obtained by meeting specific application requirements
and passing a rigorous examination. The CMP is a global professional designation delivered by the Convention Industry Council (CIC) and MPI is a proud supporter of the CIC’s Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Program.
