On December 14th, MPI The Netherlands will be organizing a hybrid event; Live @Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre (for our Dutch MPI Members) and for the European MPI member community online @ZOOM.

Event Industry Disruption; Designing Experiences and Events for the future 
The world of meetings and events has been evolving rapidly in the past year and a half. We have moved from live to online and now back to live or hybrid. We are still finding our path to the new normal but one thing is clear: (potential) attendees will become more critical about attending meetings or events they want to visit or spend their time for.

One of the aspects to create more impact is to design experiences emphasizing your event goals and creating a more powerful experience for your attendees. Design Experiences has no limitations, the experiences can be small or large, online or offline but one thing is for sure; If created, planned and executed correctly, it will leave a longer lasting impact and memory.

After this keynote, you will learn why designing experiences are important, how they can impact your attendees and find out what the the first steps for designing experiences for your next event are.

Designing the Eurovision EuroVillage and its digital transformation, by Renske Satijn (Director Rotterdam Festivals)

What are the benefits of allocating public funds for the collective development, promotion and research of a city's cultural offerings? And what would you do when you're the host city to one of the largest music festivals in the world, Eurovision Song Contest, but fans are not allowed to travel due to a pandemic? Renske Satijn, director Rotterdam Festivals, shares her insights on the benefits for the city, its inhabitants, tourists, local creative and production companies. And she will showcase the Online Eurovision Village, the first of its kind.
