Overall Excellence Chapter Award

 

 

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee seeks to forge partnerships between the MPI Minnesota Chapter and its partners to financially support and enhance the programs offered by the chapter. The committee is responsible for designing partnership policies and guidelines, soliciting partnerships with our planners and suppliers and following up to ensure that the defined benefits of partnering with the chapter are met. The committee is responsible for overseeing special events and fundraising for our chapter.

 

 

Vice President of Finance

The Vice President’s responsibilities are to provide oversight to the various sub-committees (i.e. Community Outreach, Holiday Celebration, Spring Social), oversee and manage all accounting for the chapter by working with our association management company, and to serve as a leader for the committee, encouraging them to meet their goals.

 

Director of Finance

The chief responsibilities of the Director are supporting the VP of Finance on budgeting disbursements and questions, supporting the various sub-committees (Spring Social, Holiday Celebration and Scholarship), and managing committee paperwork (TSRs, roster). This position is a two-year commitment, becoming Vice President of Finance in the second year. 

 

 

Special Events

Holiday Celebration & Silent Auction

Chair and Co-Chair positions: Oversees the Holiday Celebration / Silent Auction committee and assigns tasks as needed. Time Commitment: 2 – 4 hours per month (commitment may increase as event approaches)

Event Volunteer: Works with Chairs on assigned tasks, which may include: (but are not limited to) being a liaison between venue and MPI, management of food and beverage, audiovisual, or creative and signage. Since this event also involves a silent auction there are additional duties pertaining to that, including bidding tool liaison and sourcing of auction items. Time Commitment: 1 – 3 hours per month depending on the task (commitment may increase as event approaches)

 

Spring Event

Chair and Co-Chair positions: Oversees the Spring Event committee and assigns tasks as needed. Time Commitment: 2 – 4 hours per month (commitment may increase as event approaches)

Event Volunteer: Works with Chairs on assigned tasks, which may include: (but are not limited to) being a liaison between venue and MPI, management of food and beverage, audio visual, activities, or creative and signage. Time Commitment: 1 – 3 hours per, month depending on task (commitment may increase as event approaches)

 

SPONSORSHIPS AND ADVERTISING

Venue Sponsorship Volunteer: Secures venues for MPI Minnesota events, including Monthly Meetings, Holiday Celebration, Membership Mingles, iConnect, and Board meetings/retreats. Time Commitment: 1 – 3 hours per month 

Cash Sponsorship Volunteer: Secures cash sponsorships from our suppliers and members, utilizing the sponsorship packet as a tool. Includes year-round and monthly opportunities, iConnect and Spring Event. Time Commitment: 1 – 3 hours per month   

In-Kind Sponsorship Volunteer: Secures in-kind sponsorships from our suppliers and members for various meetings and events taking place throughout the year. Time Commitment: 1 – 3 hours per month

Sponsorship Fulfillment Volunteer: Works with related Sponsorship & Advertising volunteers and appropriate committees to ensure that the inclusions offered based on level of sponsorship are fulfilled. Includes tracking fulfillment for venue, cash and in-kind sponsorships. Time Commitment: 2 – 3 hours per month

Annual Conference Sponsorship Fulfillment Volunteer: Works with related Sponsorship & Advertising volunteers and appropriate committees to ensure that the inclusions offered based on level of sponsorship are fulfilled. Includes tracking fulfillment for both Annual Conference cash and in-kind sponsorships. Time Commitment: 1 – 2 hours per week (November through February, commitment may increase as event approaches)
