While Thanksgiving is the holiday many celebrate in November, we wanted to recognize a few other important holidays.
• November is National Native American Heritage Month, which celebrates the history and contributions of Native Americans. Let’s continue this discussion in November as we explore more about our country’s Indigenous People when we watch and discuss the Indian Horse Documentary. You watch on your own time and then come together for our DEI Community Chat on November 30 at noon.

• Diwali, the Hindu, Jain, and Sikh five-day festival of lights celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and lightness over darkness.
• Veterans Day, a U.S. federal holiday honoring military veteran. The date is also celebrated as Armistice Day, or Remembrance Day, in other parts of the world and commemorates the ending of World War I in 1918.
Thank you to those that have checked out resources, had conversations and moving towards action and change
