In my role I oversee the Sales and Catering Department, a key element of my role is to lead our sales team and catering team to partner with our local and national clients to accommodate their travel, meeting and event needs.
Our hotel complex consists of a full service fully renovated Marriott Hotel and newly constructed Courtyard Hotel and features a total of 337 guest rooms, 15 event rooms, 4 outdoor patios, 3 on-site food and beverage outlets, 24/7 fitness center with dedicated flex, cardio and stretch areas, indoor pool with connecting outdoor patio, outdoor terrace with bonfire pit, complimentary wireless internet, full AV services in our meeting and event space and talented event and culinary teams. Both properties are able to offer our guests the benefits of the Bonvoy program and meeting planners can take advantage of Bonvoy Rewarding Events.
I am still somewhat new to the Minnesota area, so I hope to expand my network whilst also promoting my business
Our complex is able to offer great diversity between the two properties enabling us to customize bookings in a way that many locations would not be able to offer.
As I am still very new to MPI Minnesota, my plan is to attend the next 101 session to better understand how I can make the most of my membership and stay connected with other members so this is the advice I would likely give others
The best piece of advice I received right at the beginning of my leadership career path and that is: As a leader, I am here to lead by example and to serve my team, not the other way around. By effectively fulfilling my leadership role I am in turn enabling my team to perform excellence in their roles
