Why did you join MPI?
I joined in 2014
and then, it was because I had to for my job, as any supplier, to source new business. I was both nervous and excited. MPI was an association I always wanted to be a part of, it was the networking part I was most intimidated about. Joining MPI is by far one of the best decisions I have made professionally and I love the networking part! I’m missing attending events and seeing everyone in person. Now I rejoin because I love it, not because I have to.

Tell us about your business and your current job.
weframe is a start up tech company based out of Munich, Germany. We’ve been in the U.S. for a little over a year now. We partner with hotels and event venues with an affordable and unique ‘pay-per-use’ model. weframe is an 86”, 4K multi-touch screen with easy to use cloud based software. It replaces the LCD projector, flip charts and white boards in the meeting room all in one device. It is innovative technology that also allows for collaboration in the meeting room as well as hybrid meetings with video conferencing.

As the customer success manager, I get to work with our partners to ensure they have all the tools and resources they need to be successful. I provide onboardings and trainings with new partners as well as generate content for a newsletter that goes out to our partners monthly.

How did you decide to get involved in this business? What influenced you?
Prior to this position, I was the events and marketing manager at the Campus Club, which is an event venue located at the U of M campus, where we adopted weframe into our meeting space. I love the tech so much, I was fortunate to be able to work for weframe when I heard they were hiring!

What do you hope to gain from your MPI Membership?
I love the face to face interaction with other members and I can’t wait until meetings are happening again so we can see each other in person! I love meeting new people, helping others (especially new members) and networking with others in our industry. MPI provides great educational content during the monthly meetings, I always walk away knowing more about our industry.

If there was only one thing a potential customer could remember about your company, what would that be?
How cool and innovative our tech is!

What one piece of advice would you give to a new supplier joining the MPI network?
Treat everyone you talk to as an opportunity. You may be talking with your competitor and want to go talk to someone else where you can make a sale or give a pitch. Just remember, anyone can help you at any point along your journey.

 

What has been the best piece of advice you have been given, and how has it made a difference in your life - personally or professionally?
MPI related, it was to join a committee! It helps you get more involved, help and get to know more people in the industry.

What are some of your favorite pastime activities?
Travelling! I love traveling and can’t wait to get back to it! Dinners with friends and hanging out with my family.
