MPI MN President's December 2020 Message

I am Grateful for you!

As we near the end of 2020, I have been reflecting on the great loss we have endured personally and as an Industry.  We mourn the death of members and family that we have lost and keep them close in our hearts.  Many members have lost jobs and business partners have closed their doors or are hanging on by a thread.  Many of us just celebrated the strangest Thanksgiving without family, for me it was my Husband and dog, my 6 adult children did their own thing. 

As a board we have had to make many uncomfortable decisions to keep everyone as safe as possible while still offering benefits to our members.  We will have all meetings virtual through February and our Board Retreat will be virtual as well.  We have added the 1st Friday of the Month Coffee Chats that is free to our members and we are now considering virtual networking.  

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee will be hosting a Book Club, information will be coming out on our website and social media early December.  We value your participation and feedback as we start this new offering.

As me move into 2021, I believe it will be a slow process to recover from all we have been through but I want MPI to be a resource to you, please sign up for one of the focus groups (Dec or Jan) let us know what you need from your membership.  We also need volunteers to get the work done for our chapter to keep moving forward, please go to our website for opportunities.
