MPI MN March and April Volunteers of the Month

Hannah Mergl – March 2021 Recipient 

Nominee Name: Hannah Mergl, Director of Sales and Marketing, Doubletree Hotel Bloomington – Minneapolis South.

Reason for nomination: Hannah is new to the MN chapter. As soon as she joined, she reached out right away to see how she could get involved and volunteer. She was excited and eager to join the WeConnect Committee as the Speaker Logistics Chair. She has done amazing work, has stayed on top of everything and is such a pleasure to connect with. In her roll she has had to adjust many times with the changes in the event due to the pandemic. This is a big task, but she’s done it with enthusiasm. I am very excited to have Hannah on our committee and can’t wait to see what her MPI future holds!

Kris Meyer – April 2021 Recipient

Nominee Name: Kris Meyer, Senior Event Planner, Thrivent Financial.
 
Reason for nomination: Kris is the Student Engagement Volunteer on the membership committee for the past few years and has created wonderful connections with professors from UW-Stout, St. Cloud State, Normandale and other colleges by setting up presentations with students 2 times per year. These presentations gain student members for our chapter along with sharing the importance of MPI MN Chapter membership for future growth once students move into a hospitality/planning career. The time commitment Kris makes for the college presentation along with the travel time and attention to detail with presenting to students is truly appreciated! Even in a year of a pandemic, Kris has set up 3 school visits and completed her first classroom visit on March 24 at UW-Stout this year to ensure to educate students on MPI. Kris is an integral piece to the membership team and a valued member of MPI MN Chapter.  Thank you Kris!
