MPI Minnesota January President's Message

As we wrap up the Holiday Season, I reflect back onto our Holiday Celebration in November at the Windows on Minnesota and Marquette Hotel. What a beautiful venue with breathtaking views. Your bidding allowed the chapter to meet our budgeted goal for this event, which is not an easy feat. The Holiday Celebration & Silent Auction is a signature event for the chapter and the revenue will allow our chapter to operate more optimally into 2023 and beyond. THANK YOU all for attending, donating items for the auction and bidding on those items.

The Board of Directors recently wrapped up our mid-year retreat at Hotel Crosby in Stillwater. Hotel Crosby took wonderful care of the Board Leadership team and showcased some truly amazing architecture and flavorful food and beverage offerings. The work we accomplished during this 2-day retreat was remarkable and has set up the foundation for the future with an updated 3-year Strategic Plan for our chapter. When we are able to meet in person, we truly network and connect on a much deeper level than we have been able to previously.  

I was also invigorated to learn about a groundbreaking change for our Annual Conference.  This is a full day of education that in recent years we have hosted as iConnect or WeConnect. We will be meeting on April 6, 2023 at the Royal Sonesta Minneapolis. Stay tuned for more details. For the first time in many years, we will not be hosting an in-person meeting for GMID. The Global offerings from MPI are typically complimentary for your participation as we celebrate, commemorate and advocate for our industry.
