DEI tidbit 8: Honoring Religious Based Food and Beverage Requests
Honoring religious dietary requests is a way to be welcoming and inclusive such as with kosher/halal meals. These can be options collected during the registration process.
There are many individual interpretations of what kosher/halal means and how to adhere.
Clear communication is essential in ensuring a successful event such as asking what kosher or halal means to the attendee. For instance, confirm if special meals also include snacks breaks, food preparation, how it is delivered/presented, serving dishes/utensils, ingredients as these may need to be outsourced in advance by an approved caterer and discussed with the venue catering team.

DEI tidbit 9: Event Website and Materials
Reviewing your event website and materials sets the tone for your event and reviewing on a regular basis helps ensure that it is accessible. Things such as reviewing fonts, adding image descriptions, offering communications options such as chat all help! Other tips can be found
