Mixing It Up

Where did our fall go?  I swear it was just early September and I was at the MN State Fair for like the billionth time, for the run of the fair.   Now, here we are in October and I’m talking to people about Thanksgiving and Christmas. 

Did you know that we switched the holiday party and silent auction this year to November for MPI?  Yup that is right, instead of trying to host our silent auction just a couple of days before Christmas – we thought, “let’s try something different”.  We are an organization of meeting & events industry people who proclaim to “try new things” or who “do things a little different to mix it up.”  Well, we are trying to take our own advice and mix it up a little bit. 

Speaking of mixing it up – we have also switched the June event to a May CSR/Give Back event.  This way, we can truly have an end of year celebration in June for the chapter’s and member’s   accomplishments.   Don’t worry, the EMPIs are not going away – in fact, watch the website and our social media outlets for announcements that the nomination process is open.  Although we live in Minnesota and being nice and humble rank at the top of our list, it’s ok to recognize yourself or someone else for the EMPIs.
