Leader of the Month for August 2017

Our committee volunteers help shape our organization year after year. During select months throughout the year, the board members recognize outstanding achievements by nominating active volunteer committee members they wish to honor for their contributions to the MN MPI Chapter.

Our Leader of the Month for August 2017 is Nicole Palkowitsch from Capella University.  She was nominated by Christopher Haug, CMP, VP of Membership committee and Senior Event Planner of Thrivent Financial who said the following about her:

Nicole has really stepped up as a member of the MPI MN Membership Team.  She initially agreed to volunteer as the team’s Membership 101 Volunteer, and has been active in developing materials and coordinating our first Membership 101 session of the year.  She has since agreed to take on the role of Chair of Member Engagement, while continuing as our Membership 101 Volunteer.  Additionally, she’s indicated willingness to help our Mingles Volunteer with the planning of the Mingle events!  Are we concerned she might be taking on too much?  Maybe - we don’t want to cause any “volunteer fatigue!”; however, Nicole has demonstrated competence and responsibility, and we’re confident she’ll do well.  She’s quickly made herself a valuable asset and essential member of the MPI MN Membership Team!
