January Monthly Meeting Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended the January Monthly Meeting. There were great discussions around ways to communicate and get to know individuals on a human level along with ways to be more inclusive towards neurodiversity communities. As keynote Miss Shannan stated, “We are change agents and play a role in being more welcoming in our roles, organizations, and events”.

A special thank you to the Courtyard Marriott for hosting us in their beautiful space and to the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce and The Edgewater Hotel for the prizes.

Here are a few takeaways:

• Consider sensory-friendly and quiet rooms at events
• Evaluate if there are easy ways to get in/out of events
• Continue to talk, learn from mistakes, and continue progress.
