Become a New Member Ambassador

Are you a person who’s inclusive and welcoming - hospitable by nature? Do you enjoy meeting people and happily share your MPI experience with others?

If so, you’re a “natural” – a perfect fit to volunteer as a New Member Ambassador at our monthly MPI MN Chapter meetings! It’s easy - no pre-work or time commitment needed. A New Member Ambassador is simply a member at our monthly meetings who’s willing to:

  • WELCOME and get to know a new member
  • ANSWER questions a new member may have
  • MAKE INTRODUCTIONS for a new member with other members and leaders
  • BE ENTHUSIASTIC about our chapter and all it offers
  • ENCOURAGE VOLUNTEERING as a way to connect and engage
  • DEMONSTRATE HOSPITALITY!

Most of us are already doing this anyway!  The New Member Ambassador program simply provides a structure for ensuring newer members engage with the chapter – that they aren’t left “on their own” to connect with others, figure out how to get involved, and learn what our monthly meetings are all about.  Essentially, Ambassadors meet people and are friendly and inclusive!

YOU CAN DO IT!  Be an Ambassador. All you need to do is indicate your willingness with an email to ambassador@mpimn.org. Your name will be added to a list of available Ambassadors and, if needed, arrangements will be made to connect you with a new member at a monthly meeting. (Members sign up to request Ambassadors on the registration website.)

That’s it! If you think this would be something you are interested in but still have questions, contact us at the same e-mail address.  An Ambassador Program Volunteer will follow up with you.

THANK YOU for considering the Ambassador role!
