Following the Anti-Human Trafficking presentation, we will break into groups to discuss various hot topics in the meetings and events industry. If there is a hot topic you’d like to discuss, send the topic to Felicia Littky (flittky@icma.org) and Tiffany Conrad (tconrad@fortdodgeiowa.org).

Speaker: Samantha Wiener, PhD student - Political Science
Samantha Wiener is a graduate student at UNL, where she is pursuing her doctorate in Political Science. Samantha, who graduated from the University of Minnesota with distinction in May 2017 specializes in American policitcs and political psychology. She conducts research examining the role of emotion in judements about immigration and evaluations of sex trafficking surviviors. Samantha serves as a program evaluation consultant for a number of Nebraska agencies including the Banisters Leadership Academy and the Nebraska ACLU and works as a jury consultant for several agencies.
