September 2020 Chapter Meeting
Everything You Do is an Investment
Do you have a minute? Each of us can say Yes to that 960 times a day. There are a limited number of minutes – 960 in 16 waking hours – and a limited number of dollars at our disposal. You get each minute and each dollar one time, then it is gone forever. Without saying or even realizing it, you confirm that everything you do has a value proposition: ‘I’m spending it this way because there is a payoff.” In other words, it’s an investment with an expected return. So, here’s the question: is it working? We only get one shot at this, so it’s not a bad idea to step back, take a look, and gain new insight. The business and personal payoff can be huge. No matter what you do for a living, you won’t want to miss this presentation: Everything You Do is an Investment.
You will come away understanding that:
- Your time is your greatest asset
- Every person in your organization drives revenue
- Everything you do in the work day has a dollar value
- When you spend even a moment doing something, you expect a return from that
- Every dollar that leaves your hand needs to accomplish what you want
- NO is now your new favorite word. This hits home. As one attendee said afterward, “I was taking notes like I was in college.”
The health and safety of all our members, attendees, hosts and staff is top priority. We appreciate your patience and cooperation with additional health measures such as social distancing, virtual attendance, etc. We thank you for your continued support and engagement with the MPI Heartland Chapter and look forward to seeing you all again soon. #WeWillMeetAgain
