Growing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives in Meetings and Events

 By fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion — or a capacity to appreciate and value differences — industries benefit from varied perspectives on how to confront business challenges and achieve success. The DE & I term refers to the infinite range of individuals' unique attributes and experiences such as ethnicity, gender, age, and disability in our industry. Additionally, as disability is a natural part of diversity, the areas of Hospitality and tourism can benefit by taking steps to ensure that people with disabilities are protected in our environment.

We are pleased to have Dr. Bridget Bordelon and Dr. Ian Li from The Lester E. Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration at the University of New Orleans presenting on this matter. Both professors have experience teaching, researching, and publishing on these important subjects. They will discuss policy, current developments, and answer questions.
