Keynote Speaker - Matt Monnot, PhD
Dr. Matthew Monnot, a former tenured professor, consultant and expert in the field of organizational behavior, brings us back to the “CORE” of Human Connection in the workplace. All companies – according to Dr. Monnot – require strong leadership… traditionally what is referred to as a soft skill. Substituting the acronym “CORE” (Competence in Organizational and Relational Effectiveness) for the loaded word “soft” provides a more fitting term for the important skills the term describes and, in doing so, reframes the perceptions of these key skills to reflect their importance for career, event and organizational success.
Some of the learning objections from this program are:
Dr. Monnot’s work has been mentioned in such popular outlets as the Scientific American, New York Post, US News & World Report, San Francisco Chronicle, and Associated Press. He has worked as a consultant to leading tech industry companies, including AT&T, Amazon, Genentech, and continues to serve as an external consultant. According to Dr. Monnot, “The soft stuff is actually the hard stuff.” Even better, we need to retire the term “soft skills.” During our Educational Luncheon, Dr. Monnot will assert a new vocabulary for describing critical social and organizational skills.
