Program:

Event Objectives:

  • To commit/re-dedicate ourselves to designing events and experiences that focus on the unique needs of our participants.
  • To celebrate the global impact our industry has for creating valuable experiences for people from every walk of life.
  • To connect and collaborate in a meaningful way so as to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones.

Persona Station Activity:
Attendees will have a collaborative experience, focusing on how to make events more relevant and personal for our event participants. Using a variety of personas, GMID attendees will create strategies and tactics for several aspects of event planning, resulting in a valuable tool that will be distributed to all attendees who participate in the persona activity. Participants will round-robin their way through four (4) persona stations (15 minutes each). Challenges will include discussions on marketing, education & learning, creating engagement, and social media. All ideas will be captured via a digital scribe.

Persona Tool Kit:
Following the event, all Persona Activity participants will receive the ideas collected at each of the Persona Stations. This tool will help kick-start their own planning and creative sessions. Our event sponsor, Shepard will compile all info from scribes, prepare the toolkit document and provide to MPI Georgia so that it can be posted as a downloadable within 24 hrs of the event.

Commitment Wall:

Following the persona activity, we will all gather outside around our Commitment Wall for a group photo (and video) that we will use for sharing via social channels. Guests are then invited to write a commitment on the wall articulating how they will personally impact the meetings industry in the coming year.
