MPI Georgia Team: We are excited to announce that we have the live link to register for the Atlanta Community Food Bank volunteer sorting date. We have many slots available so please sign up and do your part to support the local community.

It is extremely important that our group arrives promptly ten minutes before our shift start time so we can ensure all of our registration details are in order prior to orientation. If there are any concerns regarding arrival and departure time, please let me know immediately.

As you can imagine, it's always important to know how many guests will be at the table! Please follow the steps below to register with your team code:
  1. Visit your team registration page here
  2. Click Sign up beside your service date
  3. Follow prompts to register and review volunteer waiver

*When an individual bringing youth volunteers registers, they should enter the number of youth attending in the information field for "number of people in your party."

Adult Chaperone Requirements:
Every volunteer group with children must follow the chaperone ratio:
  • One (1) adult per every 4 children (age 8-12)
  • One (1) adult per every 8 youth ( age 13 and older)
*Chaperones are required to remain with underage volunteers at all times.

Parking:
Upon arrive into the main entrance (look for the big high sign with the orange peach logo), the parking lot will be to your left (on slight hill). After exiting your vehicle, look left for the fence covered walkway with the Product Rescue Center Volunteer sign. Follow the fence walkway to the PRC door.

Dress Code:
Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required, with sneakers or work boots recommended. Flip flops, sandals or heeled shoes are not allowed. Please wear comfortable clothing you do not mind getting a bit rumpled.

About the Product Rescue Center:
The Product Rescue Center (PRC) provides a great hands-on experience in a diverse and social atmosphere. Groups and individual volunteers come together to inspect, sort, and pack quality grocery donations to prepare for distribution to almost 700 partner agencies across Georgia.

Food Donations:
With 1 in every 5 Georgians and 1 in 4 Georgia children at risk of hunger, the number of people requesting emergency food assistance continues to grow. If every volunteer brings just two cans of food, we would be able to provide approximately 2,750 additional meals each month!

Please consider bringing as many nonperishable items as you can and asking those on your team to do the same. You're already making a tremendous difference by volunteering. Think how much that can be magnified by grabbing a couple of food items to bring with you when you come! We're always in need of natural peanut butter, canned chicken, and canned fruits & vegetables.
